TEA PRICE CONTINUE TO
RISE
We write to draw the
special attention of you, especially those Indian tea lovers,
The Indian tea industry
is witnessing a continuous rise in price, owing to the growing
consumption demand and a shortfall in production. May someone tell us more
about the main reason as to why there is a rise in tea consumption?
Simultaneously,
with a significant dip in global production, especially in Kenya, the Indian
tea companies fetched attractive prices on the export front. In this
connection, appreciate if someone could tell us the main reason that cause the
dip in global production.
India
produced 988.3 million kilograms (mkg) of tea in 2011 (up by 2.3 per cent). As
such, there is an urgent need to find out how India was able to outperform
other nations.
Well
done to India and hope they can keep up their performance.
